This was during the 5th Congress of the Arab Parliaments and Councils on Sunday 11th February 2023 at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, Egypt under the theme: "Parliamentary Vision for promoting Arab food Security."
Speaking at the Congress, H.E Charumbira advocated for a strong roadmap between the Arab World and the African Continent to deal with the most significant challenges facing Arab Countries in food security.
He urged the Arab World to tap into Africa's resources of too much land and fertile soils to solve the problem of food security and also tap into the tourism sector.
He informed Congress that the Pan-African Parliament is currently developing a model law on food security where they can address the challenges of food security with other Parliaments on the Continent.
He also called upon Countries to remove stumbling blocks for the Arab World to enable investment in areas of minerals, roads and the Agricultural sector.
He urged the two parties to cooperate in areas of infrastructure, minerals and Agriculture and come up with innovative methods of financing for economic development.
