The President of Pan-African Parliament (PAP) H.E. Chief Fortune Churumbira, pays tribute to the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria during the 5th Congress of Speakers of the Arab Council, Assemblies and Chairpersons of SHURA Councils held at the Headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, Egypt.
He expressed his heartfelt condolences to Turkey and Syria. He called upon the Arab World and African Countries to unite and mobilize humanitarian support for Turkey and Syria during this difficult time to bring relief to the families affected by the devastating earthquake.
Turkey and Syria have so far lost over 34 000 people and several injured after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck them on Monday 6th February 2023.
